As one of the cleanest, safest and most abundant energy supplies available, natural gas is a primary component of the world’s energy supply. Recent advancements in drilling technologies ensure it will remain an integral part of meeting future energy needs.
Globally we list more than 220 financially- and physically-settled natural gas contracts for trading and clearing. In North America, we provide deep liquidity and trading across multiple natural gas hubs, including the benchmark Henry Hub futures contract. In Europe we have become the recognized and most liquid on-exchange marketplace for trading and hedging natural gas through the physically delivered UK National Balancing Point (NBP) and Dutch Title Transfer Facility (TTF) futures contracts.
Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) is natural gas which has been turned into liquid form. Because LNG takes up 600 times less space than natural gas in a gaseous state, it is much easier to store or transport. Our LNG contracts include JKM and the first ever US LNG futures contract.
