The course is designed to give an overview of the LNG markets and the evolving trading and marketing business surrounding them. Attendees will come from all areas of the Natural Gas industry who wish to get a better understanding of the current situation and who wish to gain insights how these markets may evolve.
- Day 1
Day One of the two day course looks at Natural Gas in a global context and a deeper look at the changing value chain of LNG. The different mechanisms of pricing LNG around the world is looked at from gas to gas competition to Oil Parity contracts and indexation to Oil Products as well as an overview of some of the practical considerations in LNG trading covering ship vetting and regasification constraints.
- Day 2
Day Two focuses on the Global LNG market, the impact of new development areas in Australia and the US; and then delves deeper into the world of marketing and trading LNG, identifying some of the practical and pricing risks and hedging strategies that can be employed to manage the price risks across different markets. The day closes with a look at both the future for LNG and the impact of LNG on the current gas market.
Both days include interactive exercises to help the understanding of the LNG markets and to reinforce the learning points introduced during the day.
